Artists Market Sales Gallery

Art and fine craft by by more than 170 Upper Michigan and regional artists.

Submitting work to the Artists Market Sales Gallery

The Artist Market Sales Gallery exhibits local and regional, original artwork for sale.. New artwork that is to be sold in the Sales Gallery must first go through a jury process. A panel of judges will review new work after the submission deadline and the artist will be called within two weeks of the review. The Community Arts Center takes a 40% commission from each piece sold to cover overhead and marketing. We select a variety of quality, original artwork.  We do not accept prints from artist's work, except in the form of greeting cards.  Submitting work does not guarantee it will be accepted for sale.

Guidelines
* Submit 3-12 pieces of your actual work (depending on size). Each piece must be ready for sale. Two dimensional work must be framed or matted, those in frames must be wired for hanging. Frames and glass must be clean and free of scratches. Matted pieces must be enclosed in shrinkwrap.  Framed work must have suitable backing, no tape or cardboard.  Pieces to be hung must use picture wire, securely wound.

* Please clearly label each piece. Include your name, title, and retail price (include commission). To determine your selling price, multiply what you would like us to give you for the sale by 1.67 (example: If you want $20 from a sale, 20 X 1.67 = 33.40, mark piece $33 to $40).

* Include an artist biography. Tell us about yourself and your work. Include photos of you and/or your art.

* Deadlines: Deliver work on or before January 15, April 15, June 15, August 15, or October 15.

Note: If your artwork is accepted by the gallery and you wish to bring in new work at a later date, keep in mind that this work must also meet jury standards.

Due to limited space we can only display three framed pieces from each artist.
