Looking for a special treat for Valentines Day? Dress up and come out for the Parade of Confections fundraiser where there will be a live auction of decadent gourmet desserts followed by a dance with the Thimbleberry Band with Pasi Lautala. The Parade of Confections is an annual fundraiser for the Copper Country Community Arts Center in Hancock and will take place on Friday, February 6th from 6:00-9:30pm at the Finnish American Heritage Center Hall at 435 Quincy Street in Hancock
Event auctioneers Karyn Olsson and Dave Olsson of the Upper Peninsula Marketing Department will begin the live auction at 6:30pm sharp. The evening will also include a silent auction of jewelry and art, live music by Mike Irish, a fudge making demo by Norma Nominelli and hors d'oeuvres. People may bid on desserts individually or in groups.
Following the auction will be a dance with the Thimbleberry Band with Pasi Lautala from 8-9:30. Tickets for the event may be purchased at the Arts Center or at the door.
