SUMMER ARTS CAMP,
now in its 36th year, is five exciting days of art making and exploration for children entering 3rd-6th grades! This year’s Summer Arts Camp coordinator Charlotte Haanela, along with guest artists, will guide students through engaging and educational art activities. Youth will experience a variety of art mediums including drawing, painting, writing, journal making, ceramics, and more! Campers will learn in a fun, supportive, and educational environment. Summer Arts Camp for 3rd-6th Grades Camp is held M-F, 12:30-3:30 Session I: August 3-7 FULL WEEK 1 is FULL! Please email [email protected] to be put on the WAITLIST Session II: August 10-14 --FULL WEEK 2 is FULL! Please email [email protected] to be put on the WAITLIST Choose either Session I or II. Students must wear play clothes and bring a snack. Fee: $95. Camp’s low fee of $95 for the entire week is made possible by a grant from the Keweenaw Community Foundation. Register early! The deadline to register for either session is Tuesday, July 28 or until camp fills. To register online email [email protected]. ABOUT OUR COORDINATOR
This year’s Summer Arts Camp will be led by Charlotte Haanela. Charlotte has a bachelor's degree in English from Michigan Technological University with a minor in French and art with teaching experience as both an English teacher and art teacher. Most recently she took on the role as an English Teaching Assistant in France through the TAPIF (Teaching Assistant Program in France) from September of 2025 until May of 2026. She is currently the art instructor for Kids Make Art classes at the Copper Country Community Arts Center. |
