The Letterpress Studio at the Copper Country Community Arts Center is a hidden gem in our community.
Established in 2012, our Letterpress Studio contains working presses, type, and materials which have mainly come from a variety of former local printers and community member donations. Our printer-in-residence Daniel Schneider teaches classes year round. Students can become certified to used the studio during scheduled open studio hours. Watch our class listings for opportunities or contact us for more information.
We are always working on inventorying, restoring, cleaning, and sorting through our equipment, type, and materials.

In 2020 Daniel Schneider and Bonnie Loukus made a short video for the Michigan Humanities Council, showcasing our letterpress studio and how the Michigan Humanities grant award helped us make interpretive signage and materials! Now visitors can stop by the studio and read about letterpress printing and history!
